Uplifting Families in Frederick County is affiliated with the Maryland Association of Social Service Boards (MASSB)
The Maryland Association of Social Service Boards Foundation (MASSB), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was formed in 2007 to provide guidance to local community boards that meet the needs of Maryland residents not covered by government resources.
MASSB is comprised entirely of volunteers who serve on local boards in each of Maryland’s 23 counties. Together, the boards finance valuable services to thousands of Marylanders each year, thanks to the businesses and individuals who donate funds and attend fundraising events.
MASSB’s vision is to create a future in Maryland where every individual and family has the opportunity and support needed to be self-reliant, free from abuse, neglect, and financial struggles. The goals of the organization include promoting empowerment, preventing abuse and neglect, and providing strong safety nets for those with financial troubles.
